DrivingHealth Inventory Study

DrivingHealth® Inventory (DHI) is a new technological screening battery for identifying high-risk drivers. The DHI study was conducted at both UAB and UAH with a sample of Alabama drivers aged 18-93 (N=467), who were evaluated on sensory, cognitive, and physical subsets. The DHI may be a useful tool for evaluating driving fitness, especially among older adults. The study found that 90% of the participants, regardless of age, supported state screening for older drivers' license renewal.
