Home-Based Training Study

This study began in 2001 and enrolled 112 participants. The goal of this project was to evaluate the effectiveness of a home-based videotape training program relative to an established, laboratory-based computer training program, both of which are designed to improve the cognitive processing speed and visual attention of older adults, skills that are integral to driving safety. Results demonstrated the feasibility and effectiveness of home-based training in these skills.
